Background Information:

Subsequent to the adoption of the Central Cafeteria Fund Budget for the 2011 – 2012 fiscal year, it was brought our attention that to properly account for commodities received from USDA, journal entries need to be made to the books to reflect the value of the commodities received and expended. As we make every attempt to properly account for all goods and services received and expended within the various funds, the Central Cafeteria Fund Budget needs be amended to include said revenues and expenditures since all revenues and expenditures will be accounted for within the Central Cafeteria Fund. A resolution is attached for the Board’s consideration. This amendment has been submitted to be included on the next agenda of the County Budget Committee with subsequent approval by the County Commission.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the amendment to the 2011 – 2012 fiscal year budget for the Central Cafeteria Fund Budget.
